First Fun Festive Sing Out

December the 4th saw us perform at our first festive sing-out of the Season at a charity fun run event organised by Lancashire MIND, a mental health charity supporting people from all over the county.

It was a cold, but beautifully bright day for it, with runners dressed for the elements, in elf costumes- all in the name of charity and fun!

Eager to contribute to the festive atmosphere, us Red Rosettes donned our jingly earrings, reindeer antlers, tinsel scarves and Christmas jumpers.

Led by our MD, Emma McManus, we performed two sets, incorporating Christmas favourites such as Jingle Bell Rock, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and included our competition package: Anything Goes and Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

Putting everything into the performance was tiring work, but luckily there was an opportunity to take advantage of the free massages (offered to the runners, the fastest of which was yet to finish the race) which helped to soothe those aching muscles.

Those of us after a bit more excitement, opted for the face-painting talents of some local artists – any face can be improved with a jolly reindeer plastered across your cheeks!

It was a brilliant way to start off our December performances, especially by supporting such a worthy cause.
